A real WordPress site, made to be moved

This site exists so you can try the BladeCP WordPress Migrator from start to finish without touching a site of your own. Everything here is sample content.

Violet and blue aurora bands over the curve of a dark horizon.

The same kinds of files and tables a real site has

The demo is small, but complete. When you run the migration, the package carries all of it, and the migrated copy opens with the same pages, posts and images.

  • Pages and a blog with posts in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
  • Images in the media library, with the intermediate sizes WordPress creates.
  • A child theme of Twenty Twenty-Five, with its own patterns and translations.
  • The BladeCP WordPress Migrator plugin, ready to run.

Images made for this demo

Every image on this site was generated for the demo, in the BladeCP colors. They are real files in the media library, so the migration carries them like any other upload.

Files and database, with a few deliberate exceptions

Moved

  • Every file of the WordPress folder: themes, plugins, uploads and the WordPress core.
  • The database tables that use the site table prefix.

Not moved

  • Cache folders and archives of other backup plugins.
  • The original wp-config.php. BladeCP writes a new one with new database credentials and fresh security keys.
  • Symbolic links and files PHP cannot read.
  • Email accounts.

Requirements and limits

  • A single WordPress site. Multisite networks are not supported yet.
  • A site served from the root of its domain, not from a subfolder such as example.com/blog.
  • WordPress 6.0 or later and a 64-bit PHP 7.4 or later, with the sodium or OpenSSL extension.
  • A WordPress dashboard served over HTTPS to connect to BladeCP.
  • Enough free disk space to build the package next to the site, and a package of up to 50 GB.
