Frequently asked questions
Questions about the demo and the migration
Short answers about this demo and about the BladeCP WordPress Migrator.

About the demo
What does this demo migrate?
This sample site: its pages, posts, images, theme and plugins. Nothing from your own sites is touched.
Do I need a BladeCP account?
Yes, to connect. The plugin opens the BladeCP Hub, where you sign in and choose the server that receives the site.
Can I enter real data here?
No. This environment is for demonstration purposes only. Do not enter real personal, financial, or credential information.
About the plugin
Does the plugin change my current site?
No. It reads your files and database to build the package. Your site keeps working until you point your domain to BladeCP.
Is my database password sent to BladeCP?
No. The package does not include your original wp-config.php. BladeCP creates a new one for the new server.
Where is the package stored before it is sent?
In a protected folder inside wp-content/uploads, with a random name and rules that block web access. It is deleted after BladeCP confirms the upload, when you stop or cancel, and when you uninstall the plugin.
My hosting has low PHP limits. Will it work?
Usually yes. The plugin works in short steps and picks up where it stopped. Low limits only make it slower. The check warns you when something really blocks the migration, such as missing disk space.
What happens if I close the page?
The work continues in the background through WP-Cron, more slowly. When WP-Cron is disabled on your site, keep the page open.
How is the BladeCP key stored?
Encrypted with your site security keys, in a setting that is not loaded on every page. It is never shown. Disconnecting and uninstalling the plugin remove it.
Can I migrate a Multisite network?
Not with this plugin yet.
How do I remove everything the plugin created?
Delete the plugin from the Plugins screen. It removes its settings, scheduled tasks, temporary data and its working folder.
